Editorial policy
Silver Design Review aims to make design choices legible without overstating what can be known from a picture, product description or familiar example. We value clear explanations, fair comparisons and visible corrections.
Accuracy and context
Writers should check names, terminology and factual claims against dependable material appropriate to the subject. Articles distinguish direct observation from interpretation and avoid presenting an inference about a designer's intent as fact. Comparisons explain the criteria being used rather than implying one option suits everyone.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for reader value and clarity. A commercial relationship does not buy a favourable conclusion or editorial approval. Paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly identified where it appears, and partner placements are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, contact us with the article title and the detail at issue. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Illustrations serve to explain or explore a visual idea and should not be mistaken for documentary evidence of a real product, place or event.
Good design rewards a second look
We look for the decision behind the appearance. A close reading can reveal what works, what gets in the way and why a small detail matters.
